The importance of traceability
The keys
Environmental impact
Plastic pollution is a global crisis, and traceability helps identify the sources of plastic waste, enabling targeted solutions and prevention strategies.
Public health
Traceability ensures the identification and mitigation of toxic plastic materials that could harm human health.
Consumer awareness
It empowers consumers to make informed choices, encouraging the purchase of products with traceable and sustainable plastic.
Accountability
Traceability holds manufacturers, producers, and users accountable for their plastic waste, encouraging responsible practices and reducing the burden on the environment.
Policy development
It provides data for evidence-based policy formulation and effective regulations to combat plastic pollution.
International cooperation
Traceability facilitates collaboration between countries, sharing best practices and tackling plastic pollution collectively.
Waste management
Traceability allows for efficient waste management by tracking plastic from production to disposal, enabling better recycling and disposal strategies.
Innovation
Traceability stimulates innovation in sustainable packaging, recycling technologies, and alternative materials.
Economic opportunities
It promotes the development of a circular economy, creating jobs and economic growth in the recycling and sustainability sectors.
Circular economy
By tracking plastic, traceability supports the transition towards a circular economy, where plastic is reused, recycled, or repurposed instead of being discarded.
Supply chain transparency
It enhances transparency by tracing plastic throughout the supply chain, reducing the risk of illegal practices.
Long-term sustainability
By implementing traceability, we can ensure the long-term preservation of the environment for future generations.
The cloud platform for the sustainable and responsible management of plastic
- Manage the traceability of waste in the agri-food sector
- Take advantage of the highly efficient and flexible system waste management in the agri-food sector, according to your specific specifications
- Comply with the European Standard UNE 15343:2008 on traceability of plastic recycling and conformity assessment and recycled content.
- Private access to the tool for companies who treat residues and/or products
- Moduled tool according to your contribuition to the value-chain
- Try out how to trace back a product
How does it work?
1. Production
Register your collected residue using DIS Traceability Tool according to the Spanish regulation through the "Documento de Identificación de Residuos"
2. Treatment
Manage the residues and sign them up along the processes they go through, obtaining a certified product material
3. Formulations /Manufacture
Obtain the product you manufacture from the incoming produced material guaranteen its quality being able to trace it back to its origin
